Hello everyone and welcome to my site where today we will be looking at an email that is circulating claiming that the world health organisation is giving some grants of 550 K dollars to help support during this corona virus epidemic. I’m sure you have come across this too and this is why you are here. The email is not really something new except the fact that it is being used as a COVID-19 times scam otheriwse these fake emails have always been there and will be there in the future. They are from scammers who are simply trying to get you to send them money. Simply delete there emails and forget about them they are not for real. What it is all about

Like I already mentioned the emails maybe new on a way but the scam is still the same and has been around for some time. Even the amount they claim you will receive is still the same 550k though it may differ. They come at times claiming you have won some lottery which you never participated in maybe of iPhone or Samsung or whatver you may think of. When you receive this and they tell you to follow some link or email someone for more details, if you do so they will know you can be scammed and tell you to complete some form or give your details and then tell you to send some cash to process the grant or to validate your information by entering details of a valid credit card. One you do that that is it, you are scammed and you will never hear from them again.

 

Conclusion

If you have been planning to go claim your grant then you ought to be more careful. No cash comes for free anymore and these scammers are taking advantage of the situation the world is in so that you can think it is real. It is fake and just a way to steal from you.     I had no idea this scam was circulating but I can’t say I am surprised. It is disgusting that people would try to take advantage of already financially struggling people in a time like this! One thing I like to think is good practice is to understand that if someone is going to give you this kind of money that it is customary for the mail to come via snail mail and not email or phone. Thank you so much for bringing this latest scam to light and making us aware of it!

    I came across such an email and thank God I did not click on the link. I was keeping it until I do some research to know more about the subject. They are really taking advantage of this critical situation where people are stressed and fear for their finances. It is very bad!

    I hope people will take time to do some research and not be in a hurry to click on that link. I am going to share your post with my friends.

    Hi, I Have heard about these scams going around offering grants because of the coronavirus.  Some messed up people in this world.  It’s good that your site is exposing things like this but just a couple of observations about this post.  Noticed some spelling mistakes – maybe you should get Grammarly it is what I use and is very helpful.  The other thing the post is a bit too short for my liking you should maybe make longer.
