KYC scam text : verification due to new KYC regulations

Have you received any text on your mobile phone claiming to be from the KYC? have you wondered how they got your number if they’re a scam? Or you actually don’t have a hardware wallet but still you received this text?

What the text says?

” Your hardware wallet had been deactivated. You’re required to pass verification due to the new KYC regulations. Ledger.com.device.id.342344.app/verification.”

How they will scam you

When you press on were it’s written ledger.com.device.id.342344.app this will take you to a page where they will require you to enter some personal details and your account details. They may actually want you to make a transaction of small amount but by doing so they’ll get your account details and deduct money from your account without your consent. Some have had all the money in the account deducted.

Verdict

This is a new way people are now being scammed. Don’t click on that link and don’t give away your personal and account details to anyone.
