DB Research Text Message and calls : Is it a scam?

DB Research text messages and calls

Lately a lot of people have been asking about some text messages that have been received and also calls that claim to be from DB Research. DB Research helps politicians and private sector clients and the government with research that they may require.

These text messages have been sent to over a thousand people in just a couple of hours but the real question is are they legit and real and really from DB. The name behind the DB messages is Whitney. If you have also received one like there please do share with us in the comments section and also the number that sent you  the text.

Are they a scam?

Since the messages are a research on political matters there is a chance that these really could be from DB research. However there are a number of reasons that make me doubt they are really from DB research.

Firstly these text messages are being sent from a lot of numbers; different numbers are being talkrd about as the sender.  If they really wanted to conduct their research this way then I’m sure they would use one number not a bunch of different number like scammers do when sending out spam texts.

It also looks like DB research has also not said anything about these text messages on their official site or pages. Below is a sample of the text messages being sent to people.

Whitney from DB Research

“Hi, I’m Whitney from DB Research with a quick survey. Would you vote to re-elect President Trump if the election were held today? 1 No 2 Yes”

Is it safe?

Answering these surveys doesn’t seem to have any problems itat give you since they are not sending you to any sites that are untrustworthy or telling you to call them. However they will definitely win in some way from these text messages. If you don’t feel comfortable replying them then you can just delete them and not respond.

Verdict

These messages don’t look like they are from DB research at all. Looks like some spam emails or scam calls from people that will one way or the other gain from this as they wouldn’t  be sending these just for fun with all the expenses that would be incurred. If I were you I wouldn’t be in love with the idea of replying these. Don’t forget to share what you received.

Good luck

I got the exact same message back in May except it was from Viviana at VBC research. And today I got the message from Whitney at BC research.
