Ledger Scan email and texts

Beware of some scam emails that have been received by a number of people claiming to be from ledger and telling them that their ledger assets may be compromised due to some security breach. Have you received one such email and have been wondering whether they are a scam or for real.
In this review this is what we shall be looking at in this review and we hope that this will be of some help. As you shall see here the email is a scam and it isn’t the only one because the scammers are also sending emails do not do anything they tell you to do.
How the scam works
Well I don’t know much about crypto but definitely do understand a lot of scams and how they work. The ledger scam emails and texts telling you to download the latest version of Ledger live are a phishing attempt. They won’t always be successful but may at times succeed.
Once they tell you to download the latest version which isn’t the latest version at all or even a version of ledger live the scammers will try to steal your credentials by making you provide your details on that version.
Once you do that they will automatically get your passwords and credentials and use those to gain access to your real account using the real version. Once you input the details you may get error messages such as wrong password and the like but this is just a way to keep you without knowing you are being scammed.
Verdict
These scam emails are being sent from the email address info@ledgersupport.io which isn’t the email address that Ledger uses. Even if it was they would be doing email spoofing to make it look liken it. Downloading the version without giving the scammers any details means you are safe. If you have provided your Information you want to try to go change the details as soon as possible and contact Ledger support for further assistance.
Good luck
