The text message will tell you that if this wasn’t you then you should click on a link they put at the bottom of the message. Of course it wasn’t you because this text message is a scam and they just want you to click on the link which they plan to use to scam you. If you have received this scam text be careful not to visit the links or do anything they tell you because they are a scam. About the scam text
This message is not from HSBC and has been sent to a lot of people. One thing that has made people suspicious about it is because many people who do not use HSBC have also received this scam text message.
There wasn’t any transfer made that was put on hold the sites to which you are redirected are not sites that belong to HSBC. You should not be worried about this scam.tect as long as you don’t do anything they tell you or provide any confidential details.
Verdict
This text message and many other like that saying “Our security has placed a transfer of £470 made on hold” and claiming to be from HSBC is a scam text. Do not open the links they will ask you for confidential items at times or ask you to make some payments or login or will just lead you to some site containing malware.
