Summer Pierson Apple ID scam
Hello everyone and welcome to my review of Summer Pierson Apple ID scam. This is actually an email you receive and it is addressed as Summer Pierson and claiming that you made a purchase or payment from the apple store of 99$ or whatver money they may mention. Well you wanna ask if it is legit? No not at all , this is a common scam targeting iPhone or Apple users so they can get a way to steal information or money from them whatever they may have in mind. Do not follow what they tell you and to be safe you simply can just delete the message. What is the Summer Pierson Apple ID scam
This is an email you receive telling you that you were billed $99 after making a payment on Apple store. From the sample we have received the email was detailed sometime in May 2019 and also the charge was $99 although I’m not sure if this will differ from person to person. Whatever the differences may be this email is not to be trusted and it is important to know that it is sent by cyber criminals and you are not the only person receiving the same email.
There are manyany people hundreds or peo0le receiving the same email in a single day. So they will tell you that if there has been a mistake you should cancel this transaction and leave you a link to click below the invoice and this is where they want you to fall. If you click on the link it may lead you to a phishing site where they will ask you to enter some apple confidential details or at times they may ask you to input your credit card details. Once you do this they will have access to your CC AND can easily charge your card without your consent or they may use your confidential details for things you may not like.
What to do
Receiving this email does in no way mean you are in danger. However if you do follow the steps they tell you to follow you are doing exactly what they want you to do and leading you into places where they can get your Information. This is a scam that has been in existence before but simply changes the names of the email, contents, dates and targets but one thing still remains about them, whatever the outcomes are they are not pleasing. We have not yet received any one that has had to following the steps as yet but this may have results in the later times. If you have received this email and most probably I’m sure you did not make any purchase simply ignore the email and delete it. Conclusion and what to do
Now I am pretty sure that some people may have had already followed the steps given to them. If it involved giving your credit card details do confirm your bank balance with you bank and change the credentials. If it involved provision of passwords also make sure you change the passwords as soon as possible.
